We believe in some cornerstones of teaching and learning which shape all of our work together:
Students learn best when they are learning in person with their teacher and classmates. Learning is well supported by technology and it helps us when students can't be at school. But, students learn best in the classroom.
Learning is strengthened through learning experienced and we believe in making learning real and relevant. Field trips are not just an add on to instruction, they are the instruction and so experiential learning is important to student success.
Land Based Learning is important for all students. We must learn from, and about the world and land we live on. Students should have their book learning connected to their real lives.
We are focused on providing Treaty Education Outcomes in the Saskatchewan Curriculum, and Indigenization of curriculum.
Students learn with their cohort (the same students) throughout the year, and the teachers come to their room.
Increased sanitizing means that everyone who enters and exits the room must use hand sanitizer or wash their hands. Sanitizing products are provided so that students can wipe personal use items like their technology or personal desk.
Every teacher will have a Google Site or Classroom to access and help you when you aren't able to be at school. Codes will be given to students ASAP and available through their site, or by calling the school.
