1. Watch the “Bird Lesson” video (7.5 minutes) This 2 part video will introduce you to how different birds survive in different environments and how we study birds in the field. Pay close attention to how each birds adaptations help it survive in particular environments.

A) The “Birds” chapter on pages 19-24. Familiarize yourself with the birds described on pages 21-24 to prepare for a bird life cycle activity in class. (Note: Save the "Birds Activity Page" as you will complete this during a activity during your classroom session.)
B) The "Reptiles" chapter pages 26-28.
3. During the "Bird Lesson" video you learned about how to conduct the Wildlife Survey provided on page 38 of your Nature Handbook. We will discuss the results of this survey during your 4th classroom session.
