Welcome to the Learning Commons
According to the Canadian School Library Association the definition a Learning Commons is "A learning commons is a whole school approach to building a participatory learning community. The library learning commons is the physical and virtual collaborative learning hub of the school".
At St. Francis, the Learning Commons is a great place for students to come together to think outside the box and engage in hands literacy on through collaboration and communication.
About me
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mrs. Jinchereau. I am the Learning Commons Specialist at SFA.
I have worked in libraries for over 16 years. I have focused my attention on children and youth library services and programming. It is my goal to engage students in active, inquisitive and fun hands on literacy activities that will inspire them to find the joys in reading and creating through S.T.E.A.M based learning.
