Canadian Indigenous Land Acknowledgment. (Written by the children in grade 3/4, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada)

We offer our hearts and promise to respectfully acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of the Mississauga Anishinaabe of Canada. We promise to the First Nations communities that we will take care and protect the land, the lakes and rivers and everything on it including all living things. We must always keep in our hearts and minds that we need to respect and honor these teachings.
