There is only a small window of opportunity to address the climate crisis. Currently, the average global temperature is 1.1°C above pre-industrial times and it is estimated to surpass the global threshold of 1.5°C in the next two decades. Global Warming and emissions of greenhouse gases caused by human activity are actively worsening the climate and immediate action needs to be taken locally and internationally to address it. Here at WIT, we outlined some major impacts and causes of climate change and some actions we can take to reduce the effects.
