Mrs. Clancy
School Counselor

Hello!  My name is Kelly Jo Clancy and I am the newest member of the counseling team.  I am thrilled to be part of such an incredible group of individuals and look forward to the year ahead.

I was born in San Jose, California, moved to Yorktown Heights, New York and then back to the Northwest (Lake Oswego, Oregon).  I received my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Oregon State University (Go Beavers).  After graduating I moved to Phoenix, Arizona and went back to school for my post baccalaureate in Elementary Education.  I am currently working on my Master's in School Counseling.

I spent 20 years working from home for Xerox Corporation while I raised my two boys, Ryan and Kenny.  About 2 years ago I decided to follow my heart and leave corporate America.  I was given the opportunity to work at Mountain Trail as the administrative assistant to the principal.  During this time I realized how much I loved the middle school environment and interacting with the students.  Today I am fortunate enough to still be at Mountain Trail Middle School doing exactly what I love to do!  Not only do I get to be part of the Coyote Student Services Team but I also get to teach a yearbook class.

In my free time I enjoy connecting with friends and family, crafting, going to the movies, traveling, and napping.

The students, staff and families of Mountain Trail Middle School make this the best job ever!

Ms. Mattie Kelton
