College & Career Planning 

Middle school is a great time to start generating ideas on what post-secondary plan options are available.  Students can begin to develop habits in middle school that will help them achieve these goals.  During middle school, students can begin to take personality and career aptitude tests to start exploring what they are passionate about.  This page has resources for middle school students as they begin planning for their post-secondary years.  Disclaimer: These are resources that I personally think are useful and are not endorsed by PV Schools.

Interactive Virtual Tours of College Campus'


Another way to explore their interests is to take courses through an open online course provider such as Coursera. These courses are not for credit, but are free, online courses offered by over 100 universities and organizations from all over the world.

Western Maricopa Education Center (West-MEC) is a public school district dedicated to providing innovative career and technical education (CTE) programs that prepare students to enter the workforce and pursue continuing education.

West-MEC CTE programs provide students opportunities to earn college credit and industry credentials.
