The Arizona State ELA Standards include reading literature and informational texts, foundational skills, writing, writing foundations, speaking and listening, and language standards which guide our instruction. The PVSchools Governing Board has adopted the Great Schools "Wit & Wisdom" reading program to meet the state instructional standards.

The Arizona State Math Standards include operations and algebraic thinking, numbers and operations in base ten, measurement and data, geometry, and mathematical practices. The PVSchools Governing Board has adopted the Eureka Math/ZEARN mathematics program to meet the state instructional standards. We also implement math talks, guided math stations and researched based games to supplement instruction.
Wildfire is proud to be an elite “Core Knowledge” school. Our teachers implement the sequence that the Core Knowledge Foundation has constructed. Some of the topics that will be covered are human body systems, water cycle, insects, geography of the world and the Americas, civil rights, branches of government, War of 1812, Civil War, Westward Expansion, ancient civilizations (China, India and Greece), and modern day Japan.
Working to become emotionally-literate individuals is an important part of growing. Everyday, we will explore different components of emotional learning: intrapersonal skills (self awareness & self management), interpersonal skills (social awareness & relationship skills) and responsible decision-making skills.
