Welcome to the Desert Shadows Middle School Orchestra Page!
Orchestra is a year-long course offered to students who play violin, viola, cello or double bass. Class emphasis is placed on developing music reading ability, technical skills, and performance techniques.
SUPPLY LIST
1. Instrument in good working condition with all accessories (i.e. bow, rosin, shoulder rest, cello stop, etc)
2. Binder with clear sleeves
3. Method Book: Sound Innovations for String Orchestra Book 1, available online or at local music stores
4. Tuner/metronome
5. Paper/Pencil
