Hello! 

Welcome to fourth grade! I am Mrs. Hanson, and I joined the PVCP community in January 2024. I graduated from Southwestern College (now Arizona Christian University) in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education and minors in Teaching English Language Learners and Bible. I have taught overseas in Spain, at local charter and Christian schools, and homeschooled my children.

James is my amazing husband of more than 16 years, and together we have three children: Joyful, Little James, and Jesse, who also attend PVCP. Completing our clan is Boaz, our 85-pound black Lab. 

Growing up as a missionary kid and world traveler gave me a unique perspective and appreciation for different cultures. I am a Native American from the Tohono O'odham Nation and Quechan Tribe on my father’s side and Hispanic and German heritage on my mother’s side. 

We are part of CityView Church in Phoenix and enjoy spending time with our church family. Outside the classroom, I help lead worship through piano and guitar, teach Financial Peace University, cheer my kids in their sports, craft, up-cycle, & tackle miscellaneous home projects!
