Meet Mrs. King

Hello and welcome!  

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to 5B for the 2026-2027 school year! I am looking forward to a wonderful year as we explore the expansion of the gospel throughout the western world and learn about amazing people, places and events in the Middle Ages. We will discover some courageous friends in The Door in the Wall,  Old Yeller,  The Little Pilgrims Progress, Number the Stars and others.  

I am a graduate of the University of Texas with a B.S. in Organizational Communications.  After an early business career, I stayed home to raise our three children as we journeyed from Texas to Italy, then to Canada, before settling in Scottsdale 17 years ago. Having long been passionate about classical education, and after serving as a substitute teacher at 3 Classical Christian Schools in the Valley, I joined Archway Scottsdale eleven years ago as a full-time elementary teacher. Seven years ago, I taught Third Grade at Providence Christian School of Texas, and I am entering my eighth year here at PVCP. 

In our spare time, Bob and I enjoy mountain biking, paddle boarding, tennis, reading, traveling and spending time with our three adult children, Rebecca, Adam and Emily. We are blessed to call Scottsdale Bible our church home.

I am honored to play an important role in shaping the heart and mind of your child during this school year!
