Salary Schedule - Certificated Educators
All new hires shall be on probationary status with the district for one full school year.
Initial starting salary is based in good faith on information provided by the candidate to the district for 30-days until verification of the following two requirements are received.
Salary is based upon verification of two requirements: 1) previous employment verification and 2) total semester units completed as listed on official transcripts submitted by the candidate from an accredited 4-year college or university or U.S. equivalency evaluation agency.
Movement on the salary schedule can be made across or down.
Movement DOWN the salary schedule is based on completion of each full school year of experience.
Movement ACROSS the salary schedule is based on additional semester units taken after receipt of a Bachelor's degree. Semester units must have been completed from courses at an accredited 4-year college or university.
Academic Calendar, Holidays and Breaks
Certificated educators shall accumulate one (1) sick day each month. Unused sick days shall rollover to the next school year. Employees in this unit may use seven of those sick days each year for personal necessity. Certificated educators are paid for all holidays observed during the school year and throughout Winter break and Spring break, which is in lieu of vacation days.
