MaPS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Mission
The School of Multidisciplinary and Professional Studies serves as the foundation for all degrees at Purdue University Global; we will promote an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion. To create such an environment, action is what matters; action that provides a space and opportunity for all to exist, think, evolve, collaborate, and thrive in an academic setting.
Vision
As part of Purdue University Global, the School of Multidisciplinary and Professional Studies (MaPS) is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as part of the core of our purpose and work. We strive to ensure that all who are a part of, and or pass through, the School of Multidisciplinary and Professional Studies feel empowered, respected, heard, and represented.
To achieve this goal, the School of Multidisciplinary and Professional Studies is committed to the following:
Highlight the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equity within MaPS curriculum
Provide a safe-space for dialogue and collaborative partnerships to address current topics related to diversity, inclusion, and equity via live events and publications
Foster a working environment where faculty are valued, respected, and represented through synchronous and asynchronous opportunities
Create and deliver resources that increase awareness of the importance and benefits of DEI that are housed within the MaPS Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Across General Education site
Assess the progress of the DEI plan on an annual basis
