Academic Innovations

Our purpose is to revolutionize education by designing a learner-centric approach that harnesses the power of life experiences, fostering personal growth, skills acquisition, and lifelong learning for students in the digital age.
Accreditation
Committee Chair: Cathy Hochanadel
Ensure the alignment/satisfaction of accreditation standards; to include directing the continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, the steering committee will work to drive engagement with the accrediting bodies.
Alumni Connections
Committee Chair: Isabelle Akins
Our focus is on enhancing the relationship with SBIT Alumni by maintaining regular communication, sharing updates on institutional developments, achievements, and opportunities for involvement.
Certification and Credential Alignment
Committee Chair: Jay Blatt
The Certification and Credential Alignment Committee aligns relevant industry certifications to courses that are currently in the inventory of classes in the Division of IT for SBIT. The committee meets to update the master list of certification to course list, and addresses changes to both the curriculum and to certifications.
Communications
Committee Chair: Emilie Myers
The SBIT Communications Steering Committee will provide support and guidance to facilitate dissemination of information between Purdue University Global’s School of Business and Information Technology Dean’s office, and the broader SBIT and university community. The committee will support development of strategies to enhance visibility of SBIT at Purdue University Global and beyond. The committee will aid in developing dissemination of information within SBIT student, faculty, and external communities.
Curriculum Portfolio Management
Committee Chair: Tiffany Laitola
The Curriculum Portfolio Management Committee reviews proposed new program offerings and changes or modifications to existing program offerings in the School of Business and Information Technology. The committee is dedicated to ensuring that new program offerings and changes or modifications to existing programs align with the needs of Purdue Global students and the overall goals of the SBIT and the University.

Evaluate and monitor curriculum topics to drive revisions for best program-level and course-level outcomes.
Early Engagement Initiatives

The Early Engagement Initiatives Steering Committee promotes a culture of belonging, diversity, and inclusion at Purdue Global. We guide the expansion of the BEST program, foster meaningful engagement opportunities, and address challenges to student success. Through collaboration and strategic initiatives, we aim to create an inclusive community where all members feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
Experiential Learning

The purpose of the Experiential Learning Steering Committee is to envision, design and develop a vehicle with which to provide every SBIT student an experiential learning opportunity before they graduate.
