Begin your internship process early to ensure an experience tailored to your professional goals. While your BSIT Undergraduate Internship course begins in the last term, you can apply for internship openings at organizations that align with your career objectives. Begin your research four to five terms before your graduation deadline. Ensure that:
The internship is not at your place of employment.
You can meet the 10-hour/10-week requirement before the last unit of your last term. This information may require validation from your supervisor via email and/or voice confirmation.
The program aligns with your field of study.
Decide between an internal or external organization. Here are some resources to help you find an internship with an external organization. You can also look into Purdue Global Internship Program (PGIP) for remote options that fit your needs.
Section A
Once you have been selected for an external internship or decided to do your internship with PGIP, enroll in your corresponding internship course at the Purdue Global Campus website or by speaking with your Student Advisor.
Section B
After completing section A, submit your application for approval by the BSIT Internship Course Administration (BICA).
IMPORTANT:
If you choose "yes" to the question "Is this your current place of employment?" your application will be denied.
Submit only one application to avoid any delays.
Begin your internship, document your activities, and ensure you record communications with the parties involved in your internship program.
