FWS is a federally funded program and assists students that show a financial need and provides them with valuable work experience they can use in their career path.
Students can work virtually at non-profits or governmental agencies or choose to work on-site within their community. Also, limited remote Federal Work-Study options may be available within Purdue Global. A student's eligibility and FWS hours can vary per academic year depending on their financial aid funding offer.
Are you interested in pursuing work opportunities that will contribute to your growth within your field? Do you want a remote position while still having a positive impact on school and community? If this sounds exciting to you, please consider FWS, and apply today!
Any student who has at least 9 months until graduation, has started their first term, and is in good academic standing can apply to see if they qualify based on their financial aid packaging. A current FAFSA is required for consideration.
Upon confirming your eligibility and identifying a possible FWS organization, our team will work with the student to set up an interview with the hiring supervisor. At the same time, a financial aid representative will re-verify student eligibility to confirm the number of hours the student is eligible to work (part-time, 4 to 20 hours per week).
Once FWS employment is offered and accepted you will go through Purdue Global's onboarding process, orientation, and training.
