Purdue Global partners with local, regional, national non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, and Purdue Global internal departments to provide experience for students to work in positions that contribute to the organization’s/department goals and mission.

For External Partners, the employer fulfills a community need and delivers a meaningful solution for members of the community, as well as providing a work and learning experience for students. Students develop civic mindfulness and social responsibility.
For Internal Partners, student serve in many capacities and fulfil meaningful roles within the university. They gain valuable experience in a university setting with the rewarding aspects of contributing to PG and their development in the chosen career fields.
Internal Federal Work Study students can:
Assist with research
Assist with surveys for schools or departments
Tutor students through our Academic Centers
Create presentations or materials with PG departments
Assist with Administrative tasks for schools or departments
External Federal Work Study students can:
Assist with projects, research, social media, outreach…
Create presentations, communications, or materials for organization
Assist with administrative duties, grant writing, technology, and business needs as defined with a mentor
External Federal Work Study Students CANNOT:
Displace employees
Psychology student working as a crisis counselor – virtual position
Education student tutoring school-age children – on site and virtual positions
Legal student helping with legal briefs, research, and documents – onsite and virtual positions
Communications student working as a social influencer – virtual position
Students tutoring other students – virtual position
