English Language Learners

The Diversity Series is a group of learning modules developed to personalize the student learning experience and improve student outcomes. Learner characteristics are identified with the goal of thinking about each student and how best to meet their learning needs based on the given characteristics. Each module examines the environment and resources available to provide an experience that supports intellectual inquiry. Tools are also provided to help formulate strategies that enhance the academic climate inside and outside of the classroom.

• Develop an understanding of and ideas about facilitating the learning process of Purdue Global students.

• Identify challenges faced by adults learning English. 

• Demonstrate how to facilitate strategies to tailor your approach to adults learning English.

Workshop Completion Requirements

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) has established standards that qualify this workshop for professional development hours.  Successful completion requires completing all module elements and earning 80% or higher on the workshop assessment and qualifies as 1 professional development hour.
