In-person participation at #Interconnected22 is by invitation only. We expect about 200 journalists, editors, educators, and colleagues to join us onsite for the conference.

Pulitzer Center mask and COVID-19 vaccination policy:
All participants at the Pulitzer Center June 2022 Climate Conference and at Pulitzer Center-organized in-person events must produce proof of vaccination against COVID-19, along with a government-issued photo ID. Masks will be mandatory, unless outdoors or while actively eating/drinking indoors. Panelists may remove their masks while speaking. More information on acceptable forms of proof of vaccination and identification can be found on the Press Club website.

COVID Requirements Entering the U.S. and Returning Home:
*Participants are responsible for checking travel requirements and confirming their documents are up-to-date. Please review the U.S. entry requirements regarding COVID vaccination / negative test documentation now and review periodically prior to your departure. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) offers important information.
*Please review the policies of the airlines on which you are traveling and your home countries’ requirements, especially regarding your return travel.
Rapid testing
To help ensure the safety of all guests as we gather, the Pulitzer Center is supplying antigen tests for all in-person conference participants.
If you are staying at the Dupont Circle Hotel, you will receive a bag with rapid antigen test kits at the hotel front desk. We also are asking conference attendees not staying at the hotel to test. They can request test kits from Pulitzer Center staff at the conference registration table at the Press Club and test on-site.
We ask that you use the tests each morning on Thursday, June 9 and Friday, June 10 prior to attending any conference event. Space will be available in a separate room to use the test on-site if you did not test before arriving at the Press Club.
For guests from the RJF/RIN community invited to the pre-conference event on Wednesday, June 8 we ask that you please test that morning as well. To secure an additional test that you will need before Friday, please reach out to Pulitzer Center staff at the conference registration desk at the National Press Club on Thursday afternoon.
If you test positive, please inform Pulitzer by emailing opsverify@pulitzercenter.org as soon as possible, and refrain from attending any in-person conference activities. We hope you will still join us virtually! You can register for virtual sessions via Zoom on this website under the Day 1 and Day 2 schedules. If you need assistance registering for remote attendance of any events if you test positive, please contact help@pulitzercenter.org.
