A: Being a teacher is a very changing and emotional profession. The best return a teacher would get is when your students show faith in you and feel safe in your classroom. I am very happy and honored that my kids see me as that teacher.
Q: What brought you to Pinacate?
A: I was looking for a school where my kids' timings for school should match mine so that I can drop them off and pick them up from school, so I needed to change my previous school. Previously I only worked with high school students and when I applied for Perris Unified, I was scheduled for middle school and high school positions and I was hired for middle school right away before my high school position interview. I wanted to work in high school but the principal just told the high school principal that she is already hired and don't take her, That's how I got selected for middle school. I hated it at first but then realized that I am at the right place, middle school needs me more than any other school.
Q: How long have you been teaching?
A: 20 yearsÂ
Q: How did your teaching journey start?
A: I always wanted to work in the corporate world but my father insisted that I should do my credential program and then he would let me do the Masters program. I finished my credentials and never wanted to teach. After marriage I immigrated to the USA and applied for my credentials here and without any difficulty or struggle I got my Preliminary credential to teach chemistry. I decided that I will give it a shot and see if I can be a successful teacher.
