Community Engagement 

In Milan, Italy, there is so much to explore within the community. Fashion, night life, food, art, and architecture are staples of the city, and there is plenty to do revolving around these topics.  Mario Prada, founder of the designer brand, "Prada", was born and based his work out of Milan. Fashion can be an excellent community to reach out in, it is a great form of personal expression. Milan is known for having a very eclectic sense of fashion, people are always put together but it also gets wacky and weird. As well, Milan has a very good night life and clubbing scene, which can be a good way to get out and meet people if that's your type of thing. Food in Milan can also be a good way to engage the community in many senses. Volunteering at a soup kitchen, getting a job at a restaurant, and also just exploring local restaurants can be a great way to learn about the community. Art is just a good way to become engaged in any community, but Milan especially is known for art. Artistry is something people take seriously in Milan, but newcomers are always welcome, so try out classes in sculpting, ceramics, painting, watercolor, ect. It is very fun to meet people and make art together! Architecture is also a good way to see community engagement. There are many public areas in Milan, solely designed and designated for people to be social with one another. Plaza's and public squares are plentiful, so it can be a great way to meet people if you want to be bold.
