Welcome

We have begun using Google Classroom this week.

In my Social Studies Classes and 7th Grade religion, the students will be turning in some assignments through Google Classroom.

Some of the students have struggled to get the hang of turning in assignments. I have been working with them to get everyone up to speed.

If you would like to have a parent email notification added, I do have that capability. Please send me an email if you desire to have your email added to the student accounts.

As we start the New Year there are some changes to homework that will start immediately.

-Homework is due on the Due Date

-If work is not turned in, the student will complete the work during lunch and recess. I will not allow students to turn in loads of late homework at the end of the quarter.

Second, I have noted on some of the report cards, students that need to have their work checked by a parent.

-I am asking you to help your student to be successful.

-I have select students that do not focus enough effort into completing their assignments, and thus need our help to ensure they are completing the task they are assigned.

Wednesday, October 31st

Students can dress up for Halloween in costume, if they wish. If they don't want to wear a costume, they can dress down in Halloween colors.

They do not need to pay for this day. We will not be attending Mass, we will enjoy the day together with some morning treats and possibly some tricks along the way!

This week we make the switch to the new History Books. Over the next few days we will be orienting ourselves to the new books and getting the online access worked out. I have received the access and passwords for the 7th and 8th grade.

They will be changing out their books, so it is important that the students complete any of their outstanding worksheets from the first history books this week.

8th Grade will be studying American History from discovery to 1876

7th grade will be studying Civics, Economics, and Geography

6th grade will be studying World History

The students asked me where I found these candies. I believe I purchased them at World Market.
