The Parsippany-Troy Hills School District announced a new Senior Internship Pilot Program during the 2021-2022 school year, which allowed 25 students in good standing from each high school to obtain an off-site internship for the last four weeks of the school year. After running a successful pilot program, PTHSD expanded the SIP to include 50 students from each high school, and is now allowing 100 students from each high school to participate! This exciting opportunity allows students to gain valuable work experience and insight into a career field of interest while building their own professional network. 

The invaluable hands-on work experience you'll receive as an intern can't be obtained in a classroom setting. As an intern you have the opportunity to apply acquired knowledge to real world work experiences, witnessing firsthand the day-to-day job duties that can be expected within a particular career field. In addition, transferable skills such as communication, teamwork and computer software proficiency are also obtained, preparing interns to enter college or the workforce upon graduation.
