Search strategy:
Try initial internet searches to get a broad understanding of the topic or question, especially if it is something you are unfamiliar with.
Look for websites that are intended for educational purposes (universities, foundations, government). I have listed some below. DO NOT just rely on the url (i.e. .com .org).
Wikipedia is OK for gaining broad knowledge on your topic and helping your springboard your research. You should not rely on as a cited source.

Climate.gov projected climate change for different parts of the world
National Geographic (this is a for profit but still well-known and respected)
Citation Help:
Use Noodletools to help you organize and cite your sources.
Log into Noodletools with Google.
The video at right shows you how to create a project (watch up to :50 secs). Use MLA style.
You can add your sources manually (from the green button at top right) or, if you are using a database article, you can export directly from the article citation to Noodletools.
