We believe that there is only One God, the maker of Heaven and Earth, the Great I Am, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Jacob, the Father of Jesus, the giver of life.
That the Bible is the written Word of God and is for the Church for instruction and correction, and for the world to lead it to salvation. That the written Word of God is inspired—being God breathed and is therefore whole and true.
That there is only one Savior of mankind and His name is Jesus of Nazareth the Son of God—born of a virgin, crucified under Roman rule and resurrected by the power of God He ascended to the right hand of the Father and is returning one day for His Church.
That one comes into a relationship with Jesus that leads to salvation by surrendering one’s heart in faith to follow Him in obedience.
That surrendering to Jesus the Christ comes about through believing that He is Christ, repenting of our sins, being immersed in the ancient Biblical fashion, receiving the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and living under the discipline of the Word of God and in the fellowship with His body the Church.
That the Church is the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.
That the Church is called to remember Christ around His table, hence when the Lord’s people, on the Lord’s day, gather in the house dedicated to worship the Lord, that we gather around His table and remember Him. Therefore, we offer the table so that each believer might do as instructed in God’s Word and examine oneself and then participate.
That the Church is made up of those who follow Christ as His disciples by surrendering their hearts and minds, soul and strength to Him.
That the Church has been sent by Christ into the whole world to proclaim the Good News, baptizing and teaching to observe all things that Christ has given to us.
We have no conference, convention, or earthly ecclesiastical authority over us—only Christ and His Word. We seek the unity of all believers in Christ upon the essential matters and the freedom of local congregations and individual Christians in matter of opinion.
Historically we follow the thoughts and process of the Restoration Movement as an independent congregation, which is elder led and staff driven.
"We have no creed but Christ,
no name but the one given in Scripture,
no book of doctrine but the Bible,
no rule of faith and practice but the written Word of God."
"In faith – unity; in opinions – liberty; in all things – love."
We believe that God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. We believe that He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
-
Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14
We believe that Jesus is God's Son and that he came to earth, fully God and fully man, lived a perfect and sinless life, was crucified on a cross, and rose from the grave three days later, and later ascended to heaven where he now sits at the right hand of the Father. We believe that Jesus died on the cross to close the gap between man and man's Creator and to pay the penalty for our sins. We believe that Jesus is coming back to judge the living and the dead.
-
John 1:1, John 1:14, Philippians 2:6–11, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4, Acts 1:9–11, 2 Timothy 4:1
We believe that the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son. We believe that the Holy Spirit makes people aware of their sin and their need for Jesus. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives gifts to the believer to be used to help others.
-
John 16:8, Acts 2:38, Romans 8:11, 1 Corinthians 12:4–7
We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the inspired words of God, handed down by the Holy Spirit to the original writers. We believe that they are the basis for life and reveal what is necessary to know God and to fully understand who we are meant to be.
-
2 Timothy 3:16–17, 2 Peter 1:20–21, Psalm 119:105
We believe that man was created in the image of God and bears His likeness. We believe that man is rebellious and chooses sin over God. Because of that he is separated from his Creator. There is nothing that man can do on his own to close that separation.
-
Genesis 1:26–27, Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:2
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and that the wages of sin is death. We also believe that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to all who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. We believe that those wishing to accept Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into Him.
-
Romans 6:23, John 14:6, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9–10
We believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth, made up of people who are fueled by the Holy Spirit and whose goal is to seek and save the lost. We believe that the church is people, not a building.
