PTA Meeting Summary 2/12/26
PTA Treasurer Update: PTA is well funded for the year and continues to receive contributions from Kroeger, American Furniture Warehouse, and our Restaurant and Community Nights. We have paid the Excel funds to the school, and approved funding requests from Mrs. Saunders and Mrs. Bergdoll..
Enrichment Update: Sign-ups for the final session of the year will come before Spring Break. Planning for 26-27 is beginning, and ideas for new Enrichments are always welcome!
PTA Looking Back: Members discussed what went well and what could be improved at the events since the last meeting.
PTA Looking Forward: Committee Chairs reported on plans for: Donations, Staff Appreciation, Hospitality, Volunteers, Alumni Scholarship, and including Spanish-speaking families. The playground enhancement committee presented preliminary results from the survey (approximately 100 surveys were received). We have a volunteer to Chair our School Supply Kits for 26-27.

PTA Treasurer Update: PTA is well funded for the year and continues to receive contributions from Kroeger, American Furniture Warehouse, and our Restaurant and Community Nights. We had no staff funds request this month.
Enrichment Update: Sign-ups for the January session are live. Scholarships are available for in-house enrichments.
PTA Looking Back: Members discussed what went well and what could be improved at the events since the last meeting.
PTA Looking Forward: Committee Chairs reported on plans for: Donations, Advertising, Grant Writing, Staff Appreciation, Hospitality, Room Parent Structure, and including Spanish-speaking families. The playground enhancement committee has begun meeting to discuss grant opportunities and surveying the community. We discussed whether the PTA should run a jacket drive. We have a volunteer to Chair the Ryan and Sheridan Green Alumni Scholarship. We voted to ratify our amended bylaws, which will now be submitted to the CO State PTA.
11.13.25 PTA Meeting Summary
PTA Treasurer Update: PTA is well funded for the year and continues to receive contributions from Kroeger, American Furniture Warehouse, and our Restaurant and Community Nights. We have funded two staff mini grants, as well as approved an additional funds request from Mrs. DeCola.
Enrichment Update: There is a survey in the Highlights to help inform future Enrichment opportunities. Sign-ups for the January start will come out before Winter Break.

PTA Looking Forward: Committee Chairs reported on plans for: Donations, Advertising, Grant Writing, Staff Appreciation, Hospitality, Room Parent Structure, and including Spanish-speaking families. The playground enhancement committee will meet soon. We have a volunteer to Chair PTA volunteer opportunities. A representative with Raptor Technology attended the meeting virtually to answer questions about their Visitor Safe product. Membership voted to approve Spending $3000 for the school to purchase a 1-year subscription. We will vote to ratify our amended bylaws at our next meeting on 12/11.
9.25.25 PTA Meeting Summary
PTA Treasurer Update: PTA passed a budget for the 25-26 school year focusing on the priorities that staff, families and students indicated in the Funds Survey in Spring 2025.
Enrichment Update: The second session of fall enrichments will be announced in the coming week. Many new options are available this year and we will continue to partner with more community organizations to offer a variety of classes.

PTA Looking Forward: Committee Chairs reported on plans for: Donations, Advertising, Grant Writing, Staff Appreciation, Hospitality, Room Parent Structure, and including Spanish-speaking families. The Monster Mash planning committee will meet this week and the December event committee will meet soon. We have a volunteer to Chair a Reflections contest at Ryan for this year. We approved 3 funds requests from staff for Ms. Buchta, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Magee. Since our first meeting of the year was rescheduled, we will meet again in 2 weeks (10/9).

Principal Update: Staffing updates have been shared with the community via email.
PTA Treasurer Update: PTA is comfortably funded and hopes to disburse more funds in 25-26 focused on the priorities staffm families and students indicated in the Funds Survey.
Enrichment Update: Planning in already underway for fall enrichments. We are hoping to find sponsors to begin offering Destination Imagination.
PTA Looking Back: members discussed what went well and what could be improved at the events since the last meeting. Results of the recent PTA funds surveys were shared to help focus planning for the 25-26 school year.
PTA Looking Forward: members discussed the scheduled events for the 25-26 school year, including asking for volunteers to work on planning Hawk Hustle 2025. It was shared that for the 25-26 school year, Accountability and PTA will meet monthly, with SAC at 5:30, a Principal's Update, then PTA at 6 on the second Thursday of the month. Volunteers agreed to chair the following initiatives for 25-26: Donations, Advertising, Grant Writing, Staff Appreciation, Hospitality, Room Parent Structure, and a new December event. We also have a new VP. We are still seeking chairs for: Event food, Event activities (for Monster Mash, Art Night and Math Night), Photography, Volunteer Recruitment and Bulletin Board/ Table maintenance.

There was discussion of restructuring PTA volunteer opportunities and asking for individuals to step into those roles at the May meeting. The current PTA Board is planning to continue in their roles for the final year of their term.

Principal Update: Mrs. Shaner shared information regarding enrollment projects for 25-26, midyear progress on student learning goals in reading and math, new speed bumps coming to the parking lot, and answered questions regarding the new Principal search.
PTA Treasurer Update: PTA is comfortably funded and hopes to disburse more funds soon towards a new playground or similar project.
Enrichment Update: Winter session enrichments are beginning this week. Enrollment for the next session will be coming at the end of February
PTA Looking Back: members discussed what went well and what could be improved at the events from last fall. A Survey Monkey will be coming for parents to indicate preferences for scheduling of Field Day and Hawkstar Hustle.
