HawkSTARS Hustle Race Report - 2022

The Hustle was GREAT! Together the Ryan students had tons of fun and ran over 9,100 combined laps (455+ miles!). Lots of family and friends came out to cheer and jog a lap or two with their students, and the fundraising portion has been a HUGE success. It was quite a lot of work for the PTA to put together, but definitely worth it. We're extremely grateful to all our supporters, all our volunteers, the businesses who donated, Ryan Elementary's teachers and staff, and the Ryan students and families for making this event so amazing.

We hit ALL our Primary and Stretch fundraiser goals (again, THANK YOU): Mrs. Shaner is sleeping in Squawk's Nest (elementary roof) Oct. 5, the glow party (date TBD) will happen during a school day soon, and we're getting Dinger to visit the school to have fun with the kids at an all-school assembly.

Our HawkSTAR Hustle Fun Run fundraiser will kick off on September 30th. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for field trips for each grade, technology, software licensing, and para staff. We are attempting to run this fundraiser without boosterthon this year, so we are depending on all our school volunteers to help us along the way! ALL students will participate in the HawkSTAR Hustle Fun Run, regardless of financial participation. We will also be following our school safety guidelines to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone.

If your family feels it’s not in the position to financially support the school, that’s okay. Families can actually support our school by also SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and family online.
