Hi! I am so excited to be your child’s 5th and 6th Grade ELA & Social Studies teacher this year!
My journey in education began at CSU Stanislaus, where I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in Writing, Teaching, and Rhetoric. After graduating, I began substitute teaching in California to gain hands-on classroom experience. During that time, I was recruited by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) to work as a Read 180 Consultant, where I supported literacy instruction and helped schools implement curriculum.
In 2019, I got married and chose to stay home to focus on building our family. Today, my husband and I are the proud parents of five wonderful children!
After a fulfilling season of raising my family, I returned to my passion for teaching in 2025. Most recently, I taught at Antelope Trails in Academy District 20, and I am thrilled to continue my teaching journey with 5th and 6th graders.
I absolutely love this age group! These years are filled with growing independence, curiosity, deeper thinking, and discovering who students are as learners. I am especially excited to help students strengthen their reading, writing, communication, and critical-thinking skills while exploring literature, history, culture, and the world around them.
It is an honor to be part of your student’s educational journey, and I look forward to creating a classroom where students feel challenged, supported, curious, and excited to learn!
When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me spending time with my family or diving into some of my favorite passions:
📚 Reading & Writing: As an English major, my love for stories and language never stopped! I love discovering new books and sharing my passion for reading, writing, and storytelling with my students.
🌿 Plant Enthusiast: I love tending to plants and bringing a little extra green and life into my spaces. There’s something so rewarding about watching something grow!
🧘♀️ Aerial Yoga: I enjoy practicing aerial yoga for strength, balance, flexibility, and, most importantly, fun!
I am looking forward to an amazing school year filled with growth, curiosity, meaningful conversations, and learning together! I can’t wait to see what this year brings. 🍎✨
