The Science Fair 2026 will take place on January 27th at Desert Hot Springs High School. Project submissions are due no later than January 21st. The awards night will be held on January 29th.

Forms must now be completed PRIOR to students starting projects, have them complete the forms wizard, and it will populate links to the forms they need to complete.
VERY IMPORTANT - if your students are doing any of the project types listed below, they will have a bunch of additional paperwork and will have to have their project approved by an IRC/IRB board before they can start. If their project comes to the district fair without that and they need it, they will be disqualified from moving on to the county fair.
Human Subjects projects (that include taste testing, surveys, and interviews)
Potentially Hazardous Biological Agents (bacteria/mold)
Bacteria (known and unknown)
Mold or fungi grown in petri dishes (e.g., from air, soil, or food samples)
Viruses (even if they are not infectious in humans)
Biological toxins like botulinum toxin or ricin
Human blood or saliva
Animal blood or body fluids
Unfixed tissues or organs
Vertebrae Animals
Microorganisms
