Yunting Liu (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University, Michigan, USA in 2019.

In August 2022, she joined The Pennsylvania State University as an Assistant Professor. Before joining Penn State, she was an Assistant Professor at Michigan Technological University from 2021 to 2022 and held the position of Post-Doctoral Research Associate at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 2019 to 2021. Her research focuses on electric power conversion, multilevel converters, converter design, and their interfaces with renewable and distributed energy resources. Dr. Yunting Liu received the NSF CAREER Award in 2024 in recognition of her contributions in converter modulation.
