Research Overview
Prof. Ying Liu's group conducts research in contemporary condensed matter and materials physics, exploring physical phenomena related to superconductivity, ferroelectricity, and quantum state of matter in low-dimensional electronic systems. We aim at deepening our understanding of these fundamental physical phenomena and foster their use in real-life applications.
Technically, we make use of conventional and unconventional techniques of nanofabrication to prepare various quantum devices of superconducting, ferroelectric, and other functional materials, many of which are synthesized by our collaborators. These devices are typically measured down to low temperatures.
