Turn on or Install GlobalProtect from Penn State Software Request. IST machines should have this installed already.
Connect to GlobalProtect, using your Penn State email address and password to log in.
When connected to the IST network, either via a wired connection or via wireless with GlobalProtect, you can map an IST printer by following these steps:
Open File Explorer. (Shortcut - Windows logo key + E)
Type \\i4-as-print1.ad.psu.edu into the address bar. Press Enter.
Right-click the printer you want to print to, and select Connect. (see pic below)
The Westgate grad printer is E303.
The faculty/staff printer on third floor of Westgate is E398.
The dean's office / administrative staff printer in the Barron Innovation Hub is P411K and P411K-1.
The faculty and research printer in the Barron Innovation Hub is P413F.
You may also add any department network printer in the Westgate building.
4. You may need admin rights to install the driver.
If prompted, try entering your Penn State username and password. If it fails, please contact the IST Helpdesk for assistance.
5. The printer should now be mapped.

Optional step for the E398 or E303 printers: If you would like to use more advanced features, like the automatic stapler or collation, if available, please download and install the Ricoh driver for your system. Open System Preferences, then Printers & Scanners.
Click the "Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax...".
Click on the "Advance" icon. If the Advanced icon (two gears) isn't shown at the top, right-click anywhere on the top bar, and select Customize Toolbar. Then drag the Advanced icon into the top navigation bar
4. Click on the "Advance" icon. If the Advanced icon (two gears) isn't shown at the top, right-click anywhere on the top bar, and select Customize Toolbar. Then drag the Advanced icon into the top navigation bar
5. Select "LPD/LPR Host or Printer" as the Type.
6. Enter the following as the URL, changing the last part for which printer you want to use:
For the grad printer in E303, you would enter: lpd://i4-as-print1.ad.psu.edu/E303
For the faculty/staff printer in E398 on the third floor of Westgate, you would enter: lpd://i4-as-print1.ad.psu.edu/E398
For the faculty and research printer in the Barron Innovation Hub, you would enter: lpd://i4-as-print1.ad.psu.edu/P413F
7. Enter the Name and Location matching the name of the printer, for example E303, E398, etc.
8. From the pull-down menu, choose “Select Software.” Search for C6010. An entry called “RICOH IM 6010 PS” should pop up. If it doesn't, install the driver from here:

9. Click Add.
10. The printer should now be mapped.
Add Grad Printer E303 or Faculty printer E398 in Ubuntu
Open Settings (Gear Icon)
You can also get there through Terminal using the command SUDO SYSTEM-CONFIG-PRINTER
Select Printer on the left-hand column (you can also search the word printer)
Click the “Additional Printer Settings…” button rather than using the green Add button.
In the Printers window, click the +Add button
Under Devices, expand “Network Printer” then select “LP/LPR Host or Printer” Click Forward
Host: i4-as-print1.ad.psu.edu
Queue: E303 OR E398
Click Forward
New Printer window will open. Keep “Select printer from database” then choose Ricoh from the list. Forward.
Scroll way down to the Grad Printer: MP 5054 (or type the letter “m” to get there a little faster).
Leave “Ricoh MP 5054 PS [en] (recommended)” selected on the right then click Forward. OR
Faculty Printer: "RICOH IM 6010 PS".
Under Installable Options, change Finisher to SR3140 for Grad printer. Change Finisher to SR3210 for Faculty printer.
After clicking Forward on this screen, you should get an option to print a test page. Do that.
