Many program leaders have reflected that leading a group of students abroad is one of the most challenging yet rewarding undertakings of their careers. For students, the opportunity to study abroad with a faculty member gives them unprecedented access to an academic leader outside the classroom and to experiential learning opportunities that cannot be found on the home campus. For many, it is transformative.
While this guide is not intended to be exhaustive, we hope that it has given you a balanced overview of some of the considerations, policies, and support available for planning and leading a successful program abroad. Please do not hesitate to call on Education Abroad to assist further as you plan for and deliver your program abroad.
