Recruit, screen, interview, hire, and assign employees (“Assigned Employees”) to perform the type of work requested by the School.
Complete pre-employment screening, background checks, reference checks, and teacher licensing.
Onboard new employees.
Set compensation for all positions.
Pay wages and provide and administer a competitive benefits package.
Provide training and professional development opportunities to employees.
Pay, withhold, and transmit payroll taxes; provide unemployment insurance and workers’ compensation benefits; and handle unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.
Comply with federal, state and local labor and employment laws.
Conduct pay equity audits and FLSA audits.
Write job descriptions.
Provide employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Address work performance and behavior issues and enforce employment policies.
Manage employee relations, employee discipline and employee separations.
Conduct workplace investigations.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules, such as safety committee requirements and OSHA logs and reporting.
Manage employee accommodations and leaves of absences.
File required quarterly and annual tax filings and deposits, including but not limited to forms 940, 941, W-2 and W-4.
Maintain personnel files for each employee.
Maintain an employee handbook that is up to date with state and federal regulations and best practices.
