Wesley C. Barcoma

Wesley Barcoma has been teaching English at PSHS Central Visayas Campus since 2014. He has taught all levels of English, except English 5. Currently, he is serving once again as the English Unit Head. As an educator, he believes that the English classroom is not merely a communicative classroom but also a collaborative one. In both his teaching and other professional endeavors, he combines a structured approach with a creative mindset.

Wesley’s versatility extends beyond the classroom, as he is also an event host and manager. His hosting portfolio notably includes the Project-Based Learning Workshop with Dr. Vinesh Chandra at Golden Prince Hotel Suites, Cebu City (February 1-2, 2024), the 1st PSHS System-wide Technology Pitching in Argao, Cebu (December 1, 2023), the 1st Media Presentation of Local S&T Inventions by PSHS Scholars at Bai Hotel Cebu, Mandaue City (August 3, 2022), and the 2022 PSHS System-wide Strategic Planning at Radisson Blu Cebu, Mandaue City (April 4-8, 2022).

As an event manager, Wesley has meticulously directed the annual recognition rites, graduation ceremonies and PRAISE program. As the RSTW Coordinator, he has expertly led the RSTW-related activities in and out of the campus. Most recently, he successfully spearheaded a team of teachers and student-facilitators in conducting the Science for the Youth segment of the 3-day RSTW 2025 by DOST 7 at Ayala Malls Central Bloc from April 23-25, 2025. In September, he will once again lead the campus-hosted RSTW in Cebu, after successfully bringing it to Dumaguete in 2024, Tagbilaran City in 2023, and Robinsons Galleria Cebu in 2022.

Outside his professional commitments, Wesley is a dynamic leader in the community—an active member of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel and The Queen City Toastmasters (where he served as VP Education from July 2023 to June 2024 and is the current Club President). He is also a Q&A trainer for Miss Cebu and Miss Universe Philippines Cebu.

From his stint as the main host of NTC 2024, Wesley is back as a plenary host for NTC 2025, bringing with him his signature charm, expertise and passion for the stage and inspirational dialogues.
