Jodi Mylene Lopez is an experienced educator and curriculum specialist with over nineteen years of experience teaching Social Studies and Advanced Placement in World History, including two terms as a Social Studies Subject Area Coordinator. She currently serves as a Science Education Specialist IV for Social Studies at the Philippine Science High School System, where she participates in system-wide initiatives in curriculum revision, teacher's professional development, technology transfer, and Model United Nations.
Ms. Lopez holds multiple teaching credentials, including a Social Studies teaching license from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and advanced professional certifications in Social Studies and History from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), USA. She is also a certified Advanced Placement (AP) History teacher by the College Board USA. A doctoral candidate in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Santo Tomas, she also holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in History from the same university, graduating Cum Laude in both programs.
She received a Service Award in 2015 and 2020 and was recognized as an Outstanding Employee in 2023. Her recent academic work includes authoring Social Studies textbooks, modules, and teacher’s manuals, as well as serving as a resource speaker in teacher training seminars conducted across various parts of the Philippines, with participants comprising elementary and high school Social Studies teachers.
