Jay Carl M. Agbay

Jay Carl M. Agbay is the Chief of the Curriculum and Instruction Division and a Special Science Teacher III at the Philippine Science High School – Central Mindanao Campus. A registered chemist and chemical technician, he teaches Organic Chemistry and Research while mentoring students for national and international Chemistry Olympiads. His research interests include natural products, medicinal chemistry, and bioinformatics, with several publications in peer-reviewed journals. Mr. Agbay holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Chemistry from MSU-IIT. A recipient of multiple teaching excellence awards, he is also active in various professional organizations. Outside his academic work, he enjoys taekwondo, swimming, badminton, and running. He currently serves as a moderator at the National Teachers Convention.
