Dr. Jayson L. De Vera is a dedicated educator, researcher, and academic leader specializing in science education, curriculum, and pedagogy. With expertise in physics, chemistry, and action research, he has actively contributed to the professional development of teachers through various training programs and seminars.
Dr. De Vera serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Science, Technology, and Mathematics (FSTeM) at the Philippine Normal University, Manila. His extensive teaching career includes previous roles at Manila Central University, Philippine International School in Qatar, and various public schools in the Philippines. His academic journey spans from a bachelor’s degree in physical science at Bulacan State University to a Ph.D. in science education from Philippine Normal University.
A recognized scholar, Dr. De Vera has presented research at national and international conferences, earning distinctions such as Best Abstract in Leadership and Management and Most Outstanding Researcher from the International Organization of Educators and Researchers, Inc. He also holds key editorial and leadership positions in academic organizations, including Managing Editor of LUKAD: An Online Journal of Pedagogy and President of the Philippine Association of Graduate Student Teacher Education, Inc.
Passionate about advancing education, Dr. De Vera continues to shape the future of teaching and learning through his research, mentorship, and active involvement in professional organizations.
