Dr. Dominic M. Dial is a dedicated mathematics educator with extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development. He is currently a high school math teacher at Fairmont Heights High School in Maryland, USA. Prior to this, he served as a middle school math teacher at Cochrane Collegiate Academy in North Carolina and as a high school math teacher at Brunswick High School in Virginia.
Dr. Dial holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Mathematics from Ramon Magsaysay State University, a Master’s degree in Teaching Mathematics in Basic Education from De La Salle University-Manila, and has completed the academic requirements for a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the Philippine Normal University. He is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Development Education at Central Luzon State University.
His professional achievements include curriculum development for using KUMA in solving word problems, as well as research on error analysis in teaching percent and decimals, both recognized by the Charlotte Teacher’s Institute in North Carolina. Dr. Dial has conducted and attended numerous training programs, particularly in integrating movement in mathematics instruction, error analysis approaches, and critical thinking development.
As an active member of the mathematics education community, Dr. Dial is affiliated with MAThTed and other professional organizations. His passion for education extends to mentoring teachers and enhancing pedagogy through innovative teaching strategies.
