Dr. Crist John M. Pastor is a full-time instructor in the College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research (CGSTER) and an adjunct faculty of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Mathematics (FSTeM) of Philippine Normal University. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry for Teachers at the Philippine Normal University as cum laude in 2006 and obtained his straight Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry degree at the University of the Philippines, Manila (2017). Mr. Crist John M. Pastor has served as a trainer in the National Training of Teachers of the K-12 Curriculum, spearheaded by National Institute for Science and Mathematics, University of the Philippines-Diliman, in partnership with the Department of Edu cation. His dissertation focused on mutation profiling and gene expression analysis of drug
susceptible and resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis in collaboration with the Lung Center of the Philippines and the Department of Bio- chemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of the Philippines-Manila. His graduate studies and dissertation were funded by the Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP) through the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development, Department of Science and Technology (PCHRD DOST), wherein he is the pioneer graduate of straight MS-PhD in Biochemistry program. He served as resource speaker in numerous seminars, workshops and conferences on pedagogy and contextualization in science education. Mr. Pastor served as the cluster coordinator of the Mathematics and Science Cluster of CGSTER from 2018- 2022. He finished his PGCAP training from the University of Liverpool, U.K. in 2023 through the TAPHEP that is spearheaded by the University of the Philippines Los Baños and funded by the Commission of Higher Education.
