Mitsa Mentorship

Mitsa Mentorship is a student-led organization dedicated to developing the scientific skills and knowledge of pre-secondary students and promoting STEM education, science high schools, and the pursuit of a STEM career through social media, open-access modules, workshops, mentoring, and tutoring. The Mitsa Tutoring Organization hopes to set the stage for the future scientists of the Philippines—for future scientists, by future scientists.

Mentorship Program for Elementary School Students

One of Mitsa’s main projects is the Mentorship Program, a four-week program for elementary school students who are interested in applying to science high schools. Throughout the program, mentees were aided by their mentors in applying to science high schools and were encouraged to pursue science, with the help of workshops, information sessions, and one-on-one mentoring sessions. Because of this, the primary and stakeholders were the students.
