Conclusions and Recommendations

Impact on Science Education

• In recent years, there has been a decline in the number of public school students admitted to science high schools in the country.

• Mitsa Tutoring Organization recognized this issue and aimed to bridge the gap by offering mentorship services and making them accessible to anyone, regardless of their background. 

• Three different aspects of a science high school application were explored: interviews, essays, and entrance exams. Additionally, STEM appreciation was emphasized in order to ignite the mentee's passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

• Overall, our group has implemented a successful program based on our objectives!

Notes for the Future

• With the National Competitive Exam coming back this year, the Mentorship Program may shift its focus to entrance exams!

• Sessions per day are suggested to be longer in order for the mentors to tackle more topics in a more thorough way.

• Expand the scope of the program to implement it in more schools!
