Track and Field

Letter from the Coaches

As members of the Mid-Wach D league, Bromfield Track and Fields completes in District E, MIAA Division 5, and competes with other Small Schools at MSTCA meets. In recent seasons the team has produced many athletes who compete at the All State and New England levels. Both boys and girls programs have been competitive in the league in recent years, and the girls have been Central/West Champions for four years in a row, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

The team practices daily and focuses the beginning and end of practice on conditioning, speed, and endurance, with more technical work in the remaining time and on off/light days. Unlike most sports, High School, Middle School, Boys and Girls all practice together. The coaching staff works together to utilizes our individual strengths in coaching a variety of very different event.

Track and field is a unique sport that allows athletes of all skill levels and ability's to participate. Athletes who may not (yet) be competing for places on the podium, are still able to compete against themselves and work on improving there performances and athletic abilities. Any student who is considering joining the team, is strongly encouraged to do so regardless of their current fitness levels! We encourage team work and a team mentality in all of our athletes. We train as a team, we compete as a team, we win as team, we lose as a team.

"Athletics are won on the practice field, sometimes it hurts, and sometimes you get dirty. Competitions are a measuring stick for your training and hard work" – Anonymous.
