Melissa Vasa

Melissa is a counselor at TMHS and co-teaches Timnath Ambassadors. This is her 17th year as a school counselor in PSD. Before coming to Timnath, she was a high school counselor and student leadership teacher at Fossil Ridge. Prior to her time in PSD, Melissa taught Spanish and French in Thompson School District and enjoyed many years coaching the cheerleading team. She is a big Rams fan and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Colorado State University. Outside of school, Melissa loves spending time with her husband and two sons. In addition to family time, she also enjoys good movies, crafting, trying new restaurants and food, and spending time with friends.

Matt Miltenberg

Counselor Last Names: S-Z & N-Z (ELD)

Matt is a counselor, co-teaches Timnath Ambassadors, and coaches both cross country and track (whew!). Before Timnath, Matt's been in a variety of educational settings and roles, with with students from preschool through high school. In addition to his most recent role as a counselor as Poudre High School, Matt is grateful to have had the opportunity to work in schools from New York to Missouri and countries across the globe including Brazil, Honduras, China, and more. Matt loves spending time with his wife and three kids. He also loves to be active, whether that's running, biking, skiing, or swimming. Matt credits his mom, a life-long special education teacher, for sparking his love of learning and his passion for supporting students.

Christina Bagley

Counselor, Last Names: Hi-Mc

Christina is a counselor at TMHS. She is also an assistant coach for middle school cross country. She graduated with her BA in Psychology from Gonzaga University (hence why you can find her passionately rooting for the Zags every March Madness) and graduated with her MA in Counseling and Career Development from Colorado State University. She has worked previously in counseling roles at the elementary, middle, high school, and college level. Christina is originally from the Portland, Oregon metro area and as much as she misses the endless green trees, she's found her happy place in the sunshine and mountains of Colorado. She is passionate about empowering students to flourish as a whole person and find where their curiosity and passions meet the world's greatest needs. She's excited to be part of the Cubs family and get to know the students, staff, and families that make it so great! Outside of school, Christina enjoys watercolor painting, a good ole fashioned kitchen dance party, neighborhood walks with family and friends, traveling to visit family in South Africa, and soaking up the sun on backpacking trips.

Kelsey Cockrell

Counselor, Last Names: Di-He

Kelsey is a counselor at TMHS and the head middle school cross country coach. For the past three years, Kelsey has been a middle school counselor in Jeffco Public Schools. Kelsey received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a certificate in School Counseling from Denver Seminary. Kelsey believes in meeting students where they are, exactly where they are, and walking alongside them in their journey though middle and high school. Outside of school, Kelsey enjoys cooking, reading on a porch, a good cup of coffee, cycling, watching soccer, and being outside with her dog, Lady, and her husband James.

Tara Arko

Counselor, Last Names: Me-R

Tara is a Colorado native who grew up skiing, hiking, and enjoying the lovely outdoors. She moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education and a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling. You could say she is a big Rams fan! Tara has worked with students in various roles in elementary, middle, and high schools. Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, traveling, reading , running, and skiing.

Jason Sifrit 

Drug & Alcohol Counselor 

Jason Sifrit is the Drug & Alcohol Counselor for TMHS and an assistant high school football coach. Prior to coming to Timnath, he was a substitute teacher in Poudre School District. Before that, he spent many years working in academic advising at the University of Northern Colorado, working mostly with students without a declared major and first-year students. Not only did Jason work at UNC, but he also received his Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's in School Counseling from there as well. Jason lives in Timnath with his wife and two sons. As a family, they enjoy Disney vacations, going to the neighborhood pool, and family game nights. Jason is looking forward to helping all Cubs on their journey, wherever that may take them.

Katie Hochhalter 

Registrar

Katie is the Registrar at TMHS located in the counseling office. She is here to help with issues regarding ParentVue, Transcripts, or Student Records. She and her family have called Fort Collins home for the past four years. Her husband is the Commander of the USAF Air Traffic Control Squadron as well as an assistant football coach for THS. Three of her four children attend TMHS; she loves to watch them compete and looks forward to getting to know Timnath students and families.

Sylvia Garcia

Family Liaison

Sylvia Garcia is the Family Liaison at TMHS. She is here to support our Spanish speaking families in navigating the school system, support communication through translations, and build bridges of relationships between family, school, and community. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment for our families where they become active participants in their children's education.

Virginia Smith

Mental Health Specialist

Virginia is one of the mental health specialists at TMHS and can be found on campus all day Mondays and in the morning on Fridays. She also has the opportunity to work at Bamford, Bethke, and Timnath Elementary schools the rest of the week. Virginia works with all students K-12 and has experience with college-aged undergraduates as well. She holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Colorado State University (Go Rams!) as well as a  Bachelor of Social Work from CSU and an Associate of Arts degree from Front Range Community College. Virginia enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. Virginia’s hobbies include throwing pottery (she’s not great but keeps going), reading, and trying to make par at the closest golf range.

Betsy Barthelemy

Counseling Secretary

Betsy is the TMHS counseling office secretary and unofficial office DJ. Before joining the Timnath team she proudly served two years with City Year Americorps--Denver at a middle school on the Southwest side of the city. Betsy grew up in Evanston, Illinois and later moved to the Twin Cities to pursue her Bachelor's in English Literature at Macalester College (liberal arts college for the win!). She moved to Fort Collins this past July to pursue her Master's in School Counseling at Colorado State University in the evenings. Betsy has studied abroad in Ecuador, the Netherlands, and Japan, and loves discovering new places near and far whenever possible. You can find her listening to Chicago Cubs radio, experimenting with an espresso machine, crocheting, taking a good long walk outside, or plotting Taylor Swift's next move.
