In 1st Grade, we focus our time in Engineering and Technology to build on what we learned in Kindergarten and continue to learn basic computer, application and programming skills.  We also begin to learn proper keyboarding skills. 

Some key learning targets from this year are: 

• I can use a search tool. 

• I can find the letters on the keyboard and type with my correct fingers. 

• I can keyboard with eyes up, good posture and correct fingers. 

• I can switch between tabs in a browser. 

• I can use events, sequences, and loops to solve a task.  I can fix my code if it doesn't work. 

• I can highlight text.

• I can change font type and size. 

• I can edit text. 

• I can type a sentence.
