Specials Achievement Grade

This grade is on a 4-point scale. The achievement grade is the only grade that appears on Kindergarten report cards.

4: This is above grade-level standard.  A student at Level 4 understands all grade level standards covered, demonstrates mastery of concepts independently, and can explain concepts to peers in their own words. 

3: This is at grade-level standard. A student at Level 3 understands all grade level standards covered and can demonstrate mastery of concepts independently.

2: This is approaching grade-level standard. A student at Level 2 understands some grade level standards covered and can demonstrate mastery of concepts with some help.

1: This is below grade-level standard. A student at Level 1 does not yet understand grade level standards covered and does not demonstrate mastery of concepts. 

Specials Effort Grade

This grade is on a 3-point scale. Please note that a “3” is highest your student can achieve on this rubric. Kindergarteners do not receive an effort grade.

3: Every day in class, this student is safe, works hard and listens to directions.

2: There are days when this student is safe, works hard and listens to directions, but there are days when this student is not safe or respectful and needs reminders.

1: This is a student in progress of learning how to be successful in class and is not yet being safe, working hard and listening to directions.
