Registering for 9th Grade
The Registration Process: Spring 2024
December 4, 2023: 8th Grade Preview Night & Curriculum Fair at Rocky 6:00-8:00 pm
January 25th & 26th: Rocky Counselors will go to Webber (25th) and Blevins (26th) to give information on Picking Your Classes and Course Selection Sheet
January 25th-31st: Students utilize the 9th Grade Curriculum Guide & registration website (see below for resources) as well as talk to teachers, parents, & counselors about courses to complete their Course Selection Sheet
January 29th: Registration Info & Q&A Session for middle school students and parents at Rocky 6:00-7:00 pm
February 1st & 2nd: 8th Graders will enter their course requests into StudentVUE in class after watching the "How to Enter Courses into StudentVUE" video
February 5th-February 8th: Rocky Counselors will visit middle schools to finalize course requests with students
2/5: Lesher, Timnath
2/6: Webber, Lincoln
2/7: Blevins, Preston, Wellington
2/8: CLP, Boltz, Kinard
**If your student's school is not on this list, please watch the videos below then email the completed Course Selection Sheet to our registrar, Amy McCoy at amccoy@psdschools.org.
May 1st & 2nd: Middle Schools visit High Schools
5/1: Blevins, Lesher, Lincoln, Kinard, Timnath
5/2: Webber, Boltz, CLP, Preston, Wellington
Late July: Schedules will be available to see in StudentVUE
Need a schedule change? Please see your counselor in person during August check-in, after Orientation on August 14th, or before/after school or during lunch on August 15th & 16th.
