Poudre School District JROTC students are expected to demonstrate care and attention regarding their uniforms, as well as maintain a level of etiquette that reflects PSD professionalism.

Here at Poudre JROTC, it is crucial to encourage students to become active in a few of our many voluntary opportunities, competitions, and events where students can earn badges and devices. These showcase the abilities and skills they have learned through hands-on and class work-based learning. Cadets earn these devices through their dedication towards improving themselves and their ability to show leadership.

When wearing the Cadet and Cadet Officer JROTC Army Blue uniform it is important to follow specific guidelines to ensure proper dress and presentation. These guidelines include making sure that the uniform blouse, trousers, belt, and cap are worn correctly and are free of any stains, holes, and wrinkles. Cadets are expected to properly tuck in the shirts and make sure the belt is worn properly and ensuring that the rank insignia is worn with the regulatory spacing with the proper regulations.

 For officers, it is also important to ensure proper placement of the insignias and badges on the uniform per regulations and to help others notice any flaws.

The correct way to wear the Army's OCPS (Operational Camouflage Pattern) uniforms:

 1. Start by pressing the uniform so that it is free from wrinkles. 

2. Put on the undershirt and tuck it into the trousers.

 3. Fasten the uniform top, making sure all buttons and pockets are closed.

 4. Wear the coyote-brown combat boots, making sure they are fully laced. 

5. Accessorize the uniform with all of the necessary insignia, patches, and ribbons. 

All ribbons and awards are different. cadets are given ribbons or awards when they meet or exceed a certain reqirement. Ribbons and awards are earned throughout your time in the JROTC program.
