My name is John Williams, I’m the Adventure Education teacher here at Preston Middle School. I am lucky enough to have a career spreading my passion for active adventures to students. To be a lifelong learner, a person must harness their mental, social and physical intelligence and strive to excel to the best of their ability. Being adventurous to me means being creative with how you conduct your life; looking for the fun in every situation. Adventure is what drives us to look deep within ourselves to find the best version of our humanity.

Adventure Education is a semester-long course where students will learn about the diversity of activities that make Colorado such a unique place to grow up and explore. With our current teaching and learning challenges, Adventure Education will look different than it has been in the past. Students will be asked to get creative with their learning in order to find adventure without in-person teams and our standard Adventure Ed equipment. Parents, your student and I will be asking for your assistance throughout the course in order to make some of our learning opportunities work. Thank you in advance for your assistance and help with making Adventure Ed work under these circumstances.
Things we will do:
SCUBA/Kayaking Field Trip to EPIC Pool
Biking Field Trip to BMX track
Rock Climbing
Street Hockey
Ultimate Frisbee
Disc Golf
Slackline
Capture the Flag
And Much More!
