Quarter 2

Week of October 19th: Students will learn about PCA Norms. Students will discuss Hybrid Learning Expectations. Students will be assigned seats. Students will complete a letter to me assignment in Google Classroom so we can all get to know each other better. Students will learn budgeting basics.

Week of October 26th: Students will continue to work on budgeting. Students will learn about the SNAP program, meal planning and budgeting for healthy meals.

Week of November 2nd: Students will learn about the BLS website and how useful it can be to job search. Students will research 3 possible careers based on their interest survey.

Week of November 9th: Students will learn how to use real estate websites to search for homes.

Week of November 16th: Students will continue to research different housing options. Students will learn about the roles of the landlord and the tenant.

Week of November 23rd: Students will learn about making a full meal (such as an event like Thanksgiving). Enjoy having Wednesday-Friday off!

Week of November 30th: Students will learn about buying land and other nontraditional housing options. Students will learn how to change a flat tire. Students will learn how to use social media and YouTube in their adult life. Students will learn how to research before purchasing a car.

Week of December 7th: Students will learn about the costs of owning a car. Students will discuss workplace scenarios and how you should appropriately handle conflict.

Week of December 14th: Students will review for final exams. Students will practice writing an interview thank you via email. Students will take final exams. Good luck and enjoy winter break!
